As a new Trader, I have had to climb a huge mountain wrt the various trading platforms available. I have live accounts with Oanda and ICMarkets.
The Oanda platformis - without wishing to be critical - is simple and easy to use. It's been great for me as a beginner. But I feel it lacks a lot of features found elsewhere.
As time has gone by, I've settled on cTrader. While, on the face of it, it appears to be complicated, after using it for a while, its features have become almost indespensible. For example, the ability to "theme" the interface is important to me. The fact that I can drag and drop trades, the facility to place markers on the graph etc etc have all seemed like bonuses. I'm very happy with the platform.
However, the question I have for "the experts" is this: I've noticed that icMarkets provides a platform called "MetaTrader 4". I haven't dipped my toe oin that particular pool yet, and ask whether or not there is any advantage in doing so.
